Description
The Cumberland was built in the late 1920¿s overseen by the architects Frederick Wills and Oliver Bernard. It first opened its doors on 12th December 1933 with King George V and Queen Mary attending the launch. The hotel set a number of achievements in the hotel industry being the first to have private en-suite bathrooms and telephones in each room.
