The Hollywood Roosevelt is a first class hotel, located in the heart of Hollywood. The doors opened on May 27, 1927, to a glamorous throng including such Hollywood notables as Louis B. Mayer, Douglas Fairbanks, and Mary Pickford. The Hollywood Roosevelt quickly became known as "The Home of the Stars" and was the site of the first Academy Awards presentation in 1929.
