First dedicated on November 20, 1909, the Sheraton Gunter
Hotel was recently re-dedicated, celebrating 91-years of
continuous operation. Restoration included guestrooms,
meeting space and the hotels public areas. The Sheraton
Gunter Hotels roots date back to the first year of the Republic
of Texas, and assures the Gunter a prominent place in
Texas history. The hotel has its own full-service upscale
café and bakery, all-day room service, banquet facilities,
and an evening pub loungewith a big screen TV and happy
hour buffet, a heated pool, exercise room, sundry shop
and barber shop.
